Thunder Rider Featured Bike Contest Winner

By Felicia Campbell

I fell in love with riding at fourteen. My cousin had a 1950 Panhead that he would take me out on often. My dream of owning my own bike came true in 1994 when I bought my first Harley, a 1994 FXR Lowrider. The next year the 1996 Heritage Nostalgia green and silver came out. I ordered one and got in the fall of 1995 right before I left for Sturgis. In 2000 my bike was stolen while I was working in Connecticut. I loved it so much I bought another one. I love the open road and that is where I am the happiest. I have ridden across the United States by myself and every summer back to Illinois and Tennessee to see my family, and wherever else I happen to fancy. I have over 100,000 miles on my bike. Last year while on my honeymoon and visiting family, I hit three potholes I couldn’t ride out of and went down. Since I had to replace the tins I wanted a Native American theme and candy green flames/feathers for my paint. I now have a partner who loves road trips as much as me. Life is good! I want to thank Becker Custom Cycles for fabrication in Palm Coast, Aerial Fine Art in Bunnell for the amazing air brushing and paint, my husband Ray for the fabrication of the LED’s on the fender and so much more! I love you Baby!! Thank you to everyone who voted for my bike! If you see me out and about, stop and say hi.

Note from LULU
If there is any female that I admire for her guts and glory on a bike it is Felicia, “Flea” as she is known by many. She is on her bike as much as she can be, and had traveled a good portion of the miles she has ridden on her own. It takes a strong woman to be able to saddle up and cross the country on a bike alone. She is petite and beautiful, but fearless. I am happy that Ray has joined my friend on the road of life and makes it two bikes, two hearts on the pursuit of life’s adventures.
