Bikers For Babies Hosted By Adamec Harley-Davidson

By Raven Van Pelt

BikersForBabies2013

August 17th the second Bikers for Babies was held at Adamec of Baymeadows in Jacksonville. This is the first motorcycle fundraiser for the March of Dimes in Jacksonville since 2004.  There was entertainment, food, giveaways and a police-escorted ride through beautiful Jacksonville. All proceeds benefit the Northeast Florida Division March of Dimes.

The March of Dimes is the leading nonprofit organization for pregnancy and baby health. With chapters nationwide, it was founded by President Franklin Roosevelt in 1938. Their mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality, as well as, educating moms, supporting families, and caring for pregnant women.  There has not been a single outbreak of polio in our country in more than 30 years.

All in all, 115 bikers made the ride despite the rain, and once again LAMA, won the trophy for most funds raised.
