Thanks to the Highlands County Chapter of the AMERICAN LEGION RIDERS POST #25 out of Lake Placid for a wonderful Independence Day Celebration. They had a bike show, chicken dinner, biker games and fun for all!!

What better way to show the rest of the world how we as Americans enjoy our Freedom we have here in the greatest nation on earth. The weather held out until after the festivities ended and everyone was safely on their way home.

Thanks to all the riders who made the trip and weathered the heat. Special thanks to the local chapter of the Alternative MC. Who says you have to drink to have fun? They were the life of the party.

We had riders from all over the county. We had riders from the Moose, the United States Military Veterans MC “Highlanders” Chapter, the Christian Motorcycles Assoc. and the independent riders who all had a great time. Congratulations to Captain Billy Parr for winning 1st Place in the Custom category with his 2002 Iron Horse, Ranger motorcycle. Jersey from the CMA won the “Metric” category with his 2007 Yamaha Royal Star Tour. Another first time winner was Booby Ward with his purple Harley-Davidson Fat-boy in the “American” category.

Finally, Redbeard from the American Legion Riders walked away with the trophy for his 2000 Honda Gold-Wing Trike. Hoolinigan from the Alternative MC walked away the winner of the Slow-roll. To top a day full of fun “PROBIE MIKE” wins the ball drop by default. Long story you had to be there!!
