The Open Road Girl truck and trailer pulled into New Port Richey Harley-Davidson on February 25, 2017 and, for once, the lady riders clearly outnumbered the guys! Open Road Girl clothing is a national favorite for many ladies and this was our chance to see everything up close and personal. It was also an opportunity to meet the owner, Malinda Johnson.

Malinda and her husband, Barry, have been driving cross county to bike nights, motorcycle stores and just about any place where riders congregate. After spending a few hours at New Port Richey H-D, I literally saw hundreds of ladies riding in over the course of the day. Riders from Ladies of Harley chapters, Diva Angels, Stilettos on Steel, and many more came out to check out all the cool Open Road Girl gear and to be part of the camaraderie. I would have to add that Malinda is also a rider so she offers real riding gear and not just a shirt or jacket with some bling! It’s all fabulous and utilitarian.

Credit where credit is due also goes to New Port Richey H-D who provided FREE lunch for all, live music by Jeff Vitolo & The Quarter Mile Rebels, “how to pick up your bike demo’s” and the “Jump Start” for ladies who want to take life by their own handlebars.
