Lots of BIG things have been happening at The Oasis in San Mateo. Larry and Tia have added a BIG steel pavilion on the side of the building which allows for shade and rain control if live music or events are scheduled. The new owners have taken a sleepy little bar and managed to shake things up and turn it into a ride destination. Located at 735 S US 17 in San Mateo it is only a short hop when you take a left at the intersection of 17 and 100. They were the site of the 4th Annual Plug Run, organized by A & D Swap Shop out of Satsuma, which culminates with a bike giveaway. The Plug Run occurs at the Oasis several times a year. Winner of the bike, Chuck Lubar, was thrilled. The Oasis offers bingo, karaoke, pool, darts and cornhole. Follow their ads here or on Facebook for the monthly music line up. Put this on your places to explore during Biketoberfest or anytime you are looking for a place to wander! They are also a great poker run stop!
