Letters To The Editor Jan 2012

First let me apologize to anyone I may have offended by the use of Ron Cox’s picture in his anti-Xmas shirt in the December Bull’s Eye. I suppose from time to time I step over the line, but I have a slightly warped sense of humor and so does Ron. I thought it was funny and although I haven’t received any letters regarding the use of the pic, I have received a phone call and the rule of thumb is for any call received there are 100 that didn’t bother calling. So please accept my apologies…I certainly am the largest lover of Christmas and everything it stands for. Below are a few letters we have received. Thanks to all who write in and let us know what is working and what isn’t!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Thanks so much for printing the article in the November edition (Pony Tales). What a pleasant surprise today! (And to see the entire letter was amazing!) Today is the 2 year anniversary of the accident, also. I’m not sure whether to laugh or cry! I really appreciate you making this happen!
You have brightened my day!! Ride safe and enjoy the cooler weather!!

Dawn,

Your letter was well written and I was so surprised that we received so many comments on it. I don’t usually do a full page on my Pony Tales article for fear no one will read it, but your letter was an exception to that. Thanks for writing it and for allowing us to print it.

I just wanted to thank you for the very good article (4th Annual Pedscare Poker Run) in this month’s (November) Thunder Roads (Florida). I received a copy of the magazine in the mail from Thunder Roads – thanks!! The piece is well done, great pictures, American Flag in the background, and Lulu and Vic’s write-up’s are great.
We are honored to have our program and young patients be the beneficiary of the work and passion for the run, the funds and awareness raised. You guys are great!
Thanks.

Terry,

We always enjoy the Pedscare run and the well organized event that the American Legion Riders Chapter 283 in Jacksonville put on. Their hard work makes your work with terminally ill children a bit easier I am sure. See you next year.

Good morning,
This email is actually for Billy Braddock (Kneecap) and of course the staff at Thunder Roads Florida. I write for one of your competitors who will remain unnamed. However like any good writer I read all of the publications and in this case I was ‘shocked’ by Billy’s column. Don’t panic I was actually glad to see someone feels the same as I do when they write and express themselves. I also write for a weekly newspaper here locally, who again will remain unnamed. However for the newspaper my columns are not so much the feel good columns some people want to read. In numerous columns I have mentioned I am not politically correct and I actually don’t care if I offend some folks. Must be my Southern upbringing that makes me that way, or the four years I spent in the military and twenty-seven years in law enforcement. That is also why I’m on the Editorial Page. Anyway I just wanted to tell Billy I really enjoyed this months’ column. Keep writin’ Brother.
God Bless and I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas.

Terry

Terry,

Thank you for reading and for being one of our positive letters on Kneecap’s column. Needless to say we get more mail on his columns than any other, about 50/50 for or against. But one thing everyone agrees about is he gets the mind moving! I hope your Christmas was a blessed one and that a happy healthy New Year is heading your way.

Lulu
