One of my favorite rides each year is White Eagle’s Night Fun Run. First off, it is free! The bars that are included put up the prize money, so other than your drinks and food for the night there is no additional money out of pocket.

The ride starts and stops at the White Eagle and this year the stops included the famous Iron Horse for their ice cold beer and strong libations, then off we rode to Smokehouse Saloon & Grill on Madison. If you haven’t been there yet you really need to check it out. We had a blast and a fabulous burger there. It isn’t every bar that allows me to crawl down the length of it without being scolded!

We then rode to Boot Hill and witnessed a beautiful rainbow. As always we ran into old friends there and made some new ones including their pretty bartender! After a quick ride back US 1; and it was quicker than usual since Glen, owner of the Dog Pound, was being a bit of a gear head. We headed back to the Eagle where a bride to be won the prize money…congratulations on all accounts Harriet.

I wish more night runs would happen in the summer…it certainly makes for a sweet night.
