Well occasionally I make mistakes, do not share this information with T.J. though! I neglected to put Ed’s picture, the winner of the chili cook-off at Bay 3, in the article that was in the April issue. So, I am including it here to make the world right. Please accept my apology Ed. I had some camera problems that day.

Other than that, I want to say that May brings us Mother’s Day and Memorial Day Weekend. Do not forget your mothers on this special day and take a moment to think of all the lives lost to give us the freedom we have enjoyed so far.

I am worried, as all people are, at this point in the Biden administration that we are heading to hell in a handbag! Hundreds of thousands of immigrants are flooding in through our southern border. I went to the US Customs page and in 2019 Jan-Mar under Trump, before he made the agreement with Mexico, there were 238,593 encounters at the southern border. In 2020, for the same 3-month period, it decreased to 106,732 with the help of the wall and Mexico’s government. Under Biden an all-time high of 351,803 in the 3-month period. Now, after the liberal controlled Congress have decided to bail states like New York out of financial trouble, Gov. Cuomo is promising illegals that have been unemployed since March 2020 due to Covid $12,600 as a 1-time payment. That is 2.1 billion for illegals in New York versus 1.1 billion for small businesses in New York devasted by Covid shut down. Does anyone on the liberal side see this as insanity???
