Sturgis 2011
By Billy “Kneecap” Braddock
Whoever said, “It's the ride, not the destination” never rode 5000 miles with a “Boney Butt”. If I had not invested in an Air-Hawk seat cushion, and six bottles of Monkey Butt power, my hemorrhoids would have turned into ass-teroids, and I would have had to make most of the ride standing on my floorboards. However, Read the rest of this entry »Nobodies’ Opinion Oct. 2011

Here we are in October waiting patiently for Biketoberfest. The anticipation of great entertainment, bike shows, bikini contests, etc., sometimes overrides our concerns for safety. We have had numerous bike wrecks this year. Most have been the fault of cages, but sometimes I wonder if some could have been avoided had the rider been more observant. The number of registered motorcycles has increased dramatically, and so has the amount of accidents. Read the rest of this entry »Thunder Cam October 2011

Bull’s Eye October 2011

By Lulu
Keeping in the Bull’s Eye tradition of our featured biker, this month’s Bull’s Eye lives and breathes motorcycles, but in her case she was literally born into it. Being the daughter of famous bike builder Dave Perewitz and Susan, Jody has spent her whole life in the world of motorcycles. And boy did she make her Daddy proud this year! Jody broke the women’s speed record going 200 mph at the BUB Speed Trials in Bonneville on an American V Twin. The ground up custom was built at Perewitz. She is the Danika Patrick of motorcycles: speed and beauty! Read the rest of this entry »Stark Bike Fest 2011
BY LIL-JON
Well, Starke Bike Fest being held downtown is a great idea. But August is during hurricane season, and if it could happen…it will. We started the week prior to the event with a storm called Irene that threatened the east coast. It turned into a hurricane and was supposed to hit from Daytona to Jacksonville Friday and Saturday, but with a little luck it blew past and we just got a little rain Friday night. The Starke people said “We either are having a hurricane party or a Bike Fest, but we are having fun none the less...” Read the rest of this entry »Biker Friendly Directory October 2011

By Amy Poole
Thanks to the World Famous Iron Horse Saloon and all their sponsors we had a rumbling’ Labor Day weekend. It was hot, dry and dusty, but it did not turn the crowds away. Saturday was the 12th Annual Rumblers Pre 64 and Kustom Show to give them a chance to show off their gems. Del, from the Car Club, put the event on bringing about 200 hot rods. Another Biketoberfest is upon on us. For those of you traveling to our home ride safely. Remember that the police are pretty stringent about things such as handlebar height, loud pipes and wearing your glasses. Being pulled over for a traffic stop and ending up with a DUI can suck so watch your speed and limit your alcohol consumption. Read the rest of this entry »White Eagle’s Night Fun Run
By Lulu
One of my favorite rides each year is White Eagle’s Night Fun Run. First off, it is free! The bars that are included put up the prize money, so other than your drinks and food for the night there is no additional money out of pocket. The ride starts and stops at the White Eagle and this year the stops included the famous Iron Horse Read the rest of this entry »All Roads Lead to H & D Roadhouse and their 1st Annual Biker Appreciation Day

Ya know, when yer enjoying reasonably good health, ya kinda take it for granted...right? Well folks, that’s a luxury that Linda Frazier couldn’t enjoy. First off, she lost her job at the Space Center; second, she developed a heart condition which required the insertion of a pacemaker. Not a good situation either way! It happened that Harry and the gang at the H&D Roadhouse on Merritt Is., Fl. heard about Linda’s situation, and decided to lend a hand in the form of a poker run, and biker appreciation party. So, on Aug.21, 2011, the wheels were set in motion...motorcycle wheels, that is!!! Read the rest of this entry »Thunder Rider Featured Bike… Skull

A Ride to Remember
By Mark Swartout
As the sun peered through the clouds on Sunday July 17, 2011 a steady rumble could be heard at Dale’s Ales in Orange City. Forty-one bikes, some 70 friends and strangers to become friends, arrived to remember... Read the rest of this entry »
