Thanks to the World Famous Iron Horse Saloon and all their sponsors we had a rumbling’ Labor Day weekend. It was hot, dry and dusty, but it did not turn the crowds away.

Saturday was the 12th Annual Rumblers Pre 64 and Kustom Show to give them a chance to show off their gems. Del, from the Car Club, put the event on bringing about 200 hot rods. The rat rods were packed into the Iron Horse and lined up US 1…what an event!

The promo girls walked around all weekend with samples of Twisted Tea and the new Kru vodka. There were vendors and a swap meet held also, with some cool wood carvings. The music line up was rockin’ with rock a billy tunes, so of course there had to be Pin Up Girls to fit the theme. The winner of the Pin Up Girl Contest was Violette and she posed on a red 1939 Ford Coupe that took the trophy home.

Sunday was the day to show off your chrome on 2 wheels for cash prizes and a set of Rinehart pipes worth over $1000.00!! Willie, from Tropical Tattoo, put together the bike show resulting in about 78 bikes! Wow! There were trophies made of motorcycle parts for the winners in the show.

Live music from Jender and 3 Headed Stepchild rocked the stage all day long while eye candy in bikinis for the Miss Iron Horse Calendar Girl Contest was in play. Even the guys had some games to play while the ladies changed their attire from bikerish to bikinis! Taking up the tail end of the day was Big Engine… and what a great way to end a good day. Both days were a huge success and they couldn’t have pulled it off without their many sponsors such as Bayer Aspirin, Politis Law Firm and Twisted Tea; and all the staff at Iron Horse Saloon and I could go on…
